Banana orange and chartreuse bucktail jig
Sitting on my achored boat at the mouth of the Redwater river. I was casting a quarter ounce banana style orange and chartreuse bucktail jig tipped with a minnow. I was dragging the jig through a chanel of two foot water. The strike was light and I set the hook on a 27 inch sauger. A few exciting minutes later I had landed a sauger which was near or surpassed the state record. I gently released the big critter back to the river. Steve
